Eddie Gómez leads Business Development efforts for SCS Global Services in Latin America. He is an Agronomist and has an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Food, Agricultural, and Biological Engineering from The Ohio State University with a focus on renewable energy sources, the development of biodegradable polymers, and wastewater treatment systems. Since 2016, he has been involved with the certification of agricultural and industrial operations against sustainability standards globally. Eddie is also a lead auditor and instructor of the Bonsucro Certification System and the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS), lead auditor of the Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB), the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC), and the California Low Carbon Fuels Standard (LCFS).

Jorge Ramirez Laugerud has been working with SCS Global Services for 15 years. A Director within the Food and Agriculture Division of SCS, Jorge leads the Responsible Sourcing Strategies department where private label programs such as Starbucks C.A.F.E. Practices, Ferrero Farming Values, Numi Fair Labor Practices, and others are developed and managed. With 15 years of experience providing assessment and support to buyers, exporters, and producers on assorted products for their internal sustainability policies including social and environmental responsibility, Jorge also advises companies on risk evaluations in supply chains and traceability. Jorge has extensive audit and training experience in Latin America, Africa, Asia, Europe, and the USA. He works as the lead trainer for Starbucks C.A.F.E. Practices and Fair-Trade USA Programs. Additional audit experience includes: UTZ, COCOA Practices, Sustainably Grown, Organic, GMP, Global G.A.P, EFI, and others. His academic background is in Environmental Sciences & Agriculture from Rafael Landivar University in Guatemala. Jorge is fluent in English and Spanish.

Focuses on leadership and oversight of the strategic direction and day to day operations of our SCS Global Services de Mexico clients. Jaime de Monasterio is the Director of SCS Global Services in Argentina. Jaime not only established the Legal Branch of SCS in Argentina, but also developed multiple sustainability services in Argentina within the Food and Agricultural, Natural Resources, and Environmental sectors. He is an Agronomist with a Post-Degree in Agribusiness Management from the Universidad Austral in Argentina, and a Business Management & Marketing degree from the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE), among others. Jaime has 22 years of experience in agriculture and sustainability audits.

Oscar Morales is the Business Development Manager for Central-South Mexico & Central America at SCS Global Services de México, in the Querétaro office. Oscar has more than 12 years working at SCS and has more than 16 years of experience in certification bodies for Food Safety and Quality systems in Mexico, the United States, and Central America. His industry experience includes the Agri-Food, Food Safety, and Service sectors. He has extensive experience in sales, business development, positioning, and new business markets for safety programs, social responsibility, and quality.

Jorge Zamora is the Director of Business Development at SCS. As Director, Jorge brings his decades of knowledge on certification issues, consulting, auditing, and training in different international standards to companies in Mexico. Well versed in ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO22000, FSSC22000 (food & package), SQF, BRC, OHSAS, ISO 27001, ISO 22301, ISO21001, Bonsucro, and FSC among other standards, Jorge has extensive experience in managing aspects of the entire supply chain from marketing and sales, customer service, execution of audits and invoicing and collections. He holds an MBA in the Senior Management Program at IPADE (Business School in México), a Diploma in Environmental Impact, and several diplomas in Strategic Planning and Business Development.

Berliot Bolaños is the director for Business Development and Sales for Central America, The Caribbean, and Colombia. She is enthusiastic about contributing to the sustainable development of the region. Her background is in Food Science Engineering, with a Master of Business Administration from INCAE Business School. Over the past 10 years, she has led consulting projects and provided technical guidance for testing, inspection, and certification processes for various global commodity market requirements. Berliot’s areas of expertise include ISO standards, Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) schemes, product claims, food safety culture, social audits (SMETA), Responsible Sourcing of Palm Oil (RSPO), and Bonsucro; among other food safety and sustainability standards. She has also contributed as an active member of various international organizations and as a professor at the University of Costa Rica. She currently serves as president for the National Association of Food Scientists in Costa Rica (ASCOTA), she is a country representative for ALACCTA (Latin American and the Caribbean Association of Science and Food Technology) and for the IFT (Institute of Food Technologists).

Tania E. Jácobo Sotelo is an agronomist with experience conducting and implementing Internal Control and Management Systems for the purposes of Organic, Sustainable, Fair Trade and BASC Certification in companies dedicated to agroexport and especially oriented to producer groups. She has more than 10 years of experience conducting external audits for different standards: organic, sustainable, and fair trade in producer groups, individual farms, process plants and trading companies (Traders). With accreditations as external auditor in the following standards: Regulation (EC) N° 834/2007, USDA - NOP Standards, JAS, Naturland (agriculture and social), Peruvian Regulation for Organic Products – RTPO, Bio Suisse, UTZ, Fair For Life, FAIRMINED and BASC; as well as participation as accompaniment and implementation auditor in VCS, CAFÉ PRACTICES, 4C projects, among others. She is completing her Master's studies in Sustainable Agriculture at the La Molina National Agrarian University, with experience in climate change and rural development, providing a broad knowledge of the national and international agricultural reality. She has also developed activities as part of the team of specialists in organic production at the Headquarters of the National Agrarian Health Service of Peru - SENASA PERU and is now part of the SCS business development team with emphasis on Peru.
